What is rent management for hostels and PGs?
Rent management covers how rent is set, billed and tracked: the billing cycle and due date, whether rent is paid in advance or in arrears, pro-rating when someone joins or leaves mid-cycle, the security advance and how it is settled, extra charges such as electricity, AC and food, and keeping track of what each tenant owes.
Nohho's rent engine is configured per property. You choose the billing cycle (calendar month, weekly, daily or single month), the due day, advance or arrears timing, pro-rating for the first and last period, and an advance amount (fixed or a number of months) settled in the final bill. Utilities and meals are added per service, and future rent changes can be scheduled with a reason and an effective date so existing tenants move to the new rent automatically.
